1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using QuietCase ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

QuietCase is a mobile application that helps users log neighbourhood noise issues, capture evidence, analyse patterns, and generate formal complaint letters. The app references Australian state and territory noise regulations but does not provide legal advice.

  • You may use the app anonymously or create an account with your email address
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account

4. Subscriptions and Billing

  • QuietCase offers free and paid subscription tiers (Evidence Builder, Dispute Toolkit)
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Free trials, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device's app store settings
  • Refunds are handled by the respective app store

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app to harass, intimidate, or defame any person

  • Submit false or misleading information as evidence
  • Attempt to access other users' data or circumvent security measures
  • Use the app for any purpose that violates applicable laws

6. Not Legal Advice

QuietCase is an evidence-logging tool, not a legal service. The app provides references to Australian noise regulations and generates template complaint letters, but this does not constitute legal advice. For legal matters, consult a qualified solicitor. The solicitor directory and legal aid information provided in the app are for reference only.

7. Your Content

  • You retain ownership of all data, text, images, audio, and video you create or upload through the app
  • You grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the QuietCase service
  • We do not access, review, or use your content for any purpose other than service delivery

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

QuietCase is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

  • Noise meter readings will be perfectly accurate (accuracy depends on your device's hardware)
  • Generated complaint letters will achieve any specific outcome
  • Regulatory information is complete or up to date for every jurisdiction
  • The app will be available without interruption

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, QuietCase and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any outcomes of noise complaints or legal proceedings.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app's Settings screen. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
